Support and Guidance is paramount To Your Child's Development

Your growing baby is doing more and more on their own now: learning to sit, eat at a regular table, nap on mats and play more freely with each other. We safely guide them through all the transitions and milestones, keeping you up-to-date with the use of “Kangarootime”, our convenient parent app, so you don’t miss a beat.

Building stable relationships Helps Your Child Hit Milestones

As your baby moves into toddler hood, they begin to verbalize their needs and yes, test boundaries with you, us and their classmates. The team partners with you and your baby in order for them to put their best little foot forward, lovingly guiding them towards more independence as well.

Teachers Gently Guide Your Child To:

  • Help clean up after playing
  • Wash their hands independently
  • Learn to get dressed
  • Get started, used to, and confident using a potty

Exploring New Foods Through Delicious And Healthy Menus

What a treat for your little one to explore healthy foods and new food combinations. We know what your baby likes, so it’s easy to ensure they are getting the nutrition they need while exciting their budding palates, combining their favorite foods with new ones in a safe, yummy and healthful way. Several of our Schools participate in the Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP). For the Discrimination Statement, Click Here

A Calm Yet stabilizing environment

Your toddler is delighted in the world around them as teachers introduce them to different sights and sounds. You can expect fun themes and creative play that encourages them to move around and communicate.

Teachers Introduce Your Child To:

  • The use of sign language
  • Making sounds and encouragement to talk
  • Developing their motor skills and engaging in their surroundings with art, music and dramatic play

More one-on-one time Means Your Child Feels Special

Groups are small so your child gets more one-on-one attention at an age where this can really make a difference. Teachers want your child to interact with them and each other in a calm and positive way. The center’s focus is on learning through socialization and play.

Teachers Show Your Child The Value Of Community

Children participate in community events early on, and learn how to make an impact in other people’s lives through service, commitment, and love. They learn through example and action!

Young toddlers sometimes need to feel a close connection to feel secure in order to be open to exploring. Our teachers will offer the caring and trusting environment to help guide them through this process. The teachers offer encouraging and positive motivation to help them persist through challenges and becoming self-motivated.

Offering our young toddlers a safe environment which promotes walking and climbing ensures the children will build confidence in their physical growth and abilities. Our teachers do this through a combination of support and attention for encouragement. The teachers will create climbing courses, set up games, and do activities to promote balancing, and spatial and traveling awareness.

Young toddlers are just learning how to get their needs met. Our teachers reinforce the positive ways of getting attention and develop an encouraging environment to understand the connection between language and having their needs met. Our teachers will often be seen role-playing and modeling. We also provide the children with many opportunities to help others which supports their understanding of meeting others’ needs.

At this stage of development, young toddlers are learning to focus their attention for short periods of time. Engaging the children is the best way to help a child remain focused. Our teachers accomplish this by reading books, telling stories, singing songs, and incorporating movement or actions. Young toddlers tend to be persistent as well. The children will be seen participating in activities such as stacking, building, puzzles, and matching to promote problem solving, flexibility and inventiveness in thinking.

You will find many richly illustrated books in our classrooms as well as many opportunities to explore through coloring and writing. Young toddlers best connect and explore reading through pictures of familiar objects and people, print and books. Teachers will read and reread books to help reinforce the use of language as a child explores the book. Teachers will also start to give the children specific tasks with paper and writing to support intention with writing.

Young toddlers begin to understand cause and effect and discover that repeated actions yield similar effects. Finding new ways to encourage the children to count and problem solve encourages math concepts. It also teaches the many different ways math skills are used throughout the day. You will find our teachers exploring collections, playing Hide and Seek, solving puzzles, and doing sequencing activities.

My kids have been going here for about 6 months and we love it. The staff is friendly and professional. They are always happy to talk with me about my kids if I have any concerns or questions. There is a nice balance between learning from a well-designed curriculum and free play both inside and out -particularly during the school year. There are several great playgrounds for different age groups. They are well staffed, and because of this are able to be very flexible. We attend part time and are able to change our schedule as needed. Overall, we love it!
