Do you love kids and cooking? We are looking for a patient, attentive ROCKSTAR to cook for the BEST children around!!

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • ServSafe Certification

  • 2 years working in food prep or cooking

  • Knowledge of physical, emotional and developmental patterns in children

  • Sensitivity to individual and group needs of children

  • 2 years working with children

 

Cook Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the welfare, health and safety of the children in the group. To offer a program that meets the emotional, physical, intellectual and social needs of both the individual and the group.

  • Set up workstation and kitchen with all needed ingredients, cooking equipment and sanitation stations. Breakdown workstation and kitchen by properly storing food and supply items, properly sanitizing and cleaning all areas and prepping for next day.

  • Follow menu accurately as outlined by Magic Memories and Food Program regulations. Prepare snacks and meals accordingly using only ingredients provided by Magic Memories. All meals and snacks must be prepared in the approved food prep location in clean and sanitary conditions. Ensure compliance with all the regulations of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Be knowledgeable of all the regulations of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

  • Maintain accurate food inventories and check quality of food. Properly store food items in appropriate locations and following the outlined procedures as defined by the Health Department. Rotate stock items per established procedures. Restock kitchen food and supplies on a daily basis. Prepare and place food orders as outlined by Director.
