Amanda, Afternoon Assistant
Amanda is one of our Afternoon Assistants. She graduated from Phoenixville Area High School and currently attends Delaware County Community College majoring in Nursing. She is originally from Norristown but has lived in Phoenixville for the past 12 years. Amanda is the youngest of four children and loves spending time with her family and friends. She loves babysitting her five nephews and little cousin. Babysitting for her family has made her fall in love with children! She loves working at Magic Memories and spending time with new children every day.
Andrew, Afternoon Assistant
Andrew has been working at Magic Memories since April of 2016 as an Afternoon Assistant. He has been babysitting since high school and has always enjoyed working with children. Andrew is currently attending West Chester University working towards two degrees; one in Musical Theatre and one in History. He hopes to one day become certified to teach History at the high school level. In his free time, Andrew likes to perform, read, play video games, and spend time with his friends and family.
Brendan, Afternoon Assistant
Brendan is one of our Afternoon Assistants. He has been working at Magic Memories for 4 years now. He is 21 and lives in Phoenixville. PA. Brendan attends Cabrini University and is studying Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education and Social Justice. After graduating Brendan plans on becoming a Special Ed. Teacher, or at a school teaching social justice through hip-hop. Outside of work, Brendan enjoys playing and watching soccer, fishing, and hiking. Brendan discovered his love for teaching after doing an internship as a one-on-one aid at Schuylkill Elementary and with the Chester County Intermediate Unit. He is looking forward to the upcoming school year and can’t wait to meet everyone!
Desire, Afternoon Assistant
Desire is an Afternoon Assistant, and works when she’s home on college breaks. She just graduated from Phoenixville Area High School this past Spring. Desire is now off to college for Early Childhood Education and Business. She has a very large family with lots of brothers and sisters. In her free time, Desire enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as going to the mall or movies. She loves working with children at Magic Memories. She strives to be nice and kind to everyone she meets with a smile on her face.
Dora, Spanish Teacher/Building Assistant
Dora, our Spanish Teacher and Building Assistant, has been at Magic Memories for over 10 years. Dora has a degree in French, a BA in Administration and she tutors students after school in Spanish. Dora enjoys helping in all of our classrooms and loves spending time with children of all ages. She has two wonderful children of her own and enjoys spending time with them and her husband. Dora also loves to travel and see family in Colombia and Quebec.
Heather, Breaker/Afternoon Assistant
Heather is one of our Breakers and Afternoon Assistants. She has been working at Magic Memories since February 2016. She has always had a love for children and started babysitting at a young age. She attended the Technical High School and majored in Early Childhood Education. She started her career with children during her junior year of high school at a newly formed daycare. She enjoys spending time with her family; especially her son Zachary, daughter Zoey, and her husband, Wes.
Jershya is our Cook and enjoys cooking! She loves to bake, especially baking cakes and cookies. She is the oldest of three children and has two younger brothers. She attended Brightwood College to earn her Associate’s Degree as a Medical Assistant. Jershya loves working with children and watching them learn and grow! In her free time she loves to go shopping.
Liz is thrilled to be back at Magic Memories after a brief time off as a stay at home Mom. Liz has been working in Early Childhood Education since 2010. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Chestnut Hill College and a Master’s in Applied Theater from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Liz is a devoted mom to her daughter Hannah. She loves children and is so happy to be back with them once again.
Lorraine, Afternoon Assistant
Lorraine is an Afternoon Assistant here at Magic Memories! Lorraine is 24 and she lives in the most adorable studio apartment with her black lab Gracie, right in downtown Phoenixville! Lorraine is no stranger to Magic Memories and working with children. She has worked at Magic Memories since she was in high school and before leaving she was the older toddler teacher. Lorraine now works full time for a Health Insurance company while going to school for Environmentalism/Secondary Education in hopes to be a 7th grade science teacher! She has come back to Magic Memories part time because she absolutely loves the children and the welcoming family environment! In her spare time Lorraine loves to read & go on long runs and hikes!
Mercedes, Breaker/Afternoon Assistant
Mercedes is a Breaker and an Afternoon Assistant working in the Super Sharks class. Mercedes is 19 years old and lives in Phoenixville, PA. She graduated from Phoenixville Area High School, and plans on attending Montgomery County Community College to study to be an athletic trainer and then eventually transfer to West Chester University. Mercedes is the oldest of five and enjoys spending time with her siblings, shopping and reading. Mercedes enjoys working at Magic Memories and getting to experience working with all age groups.
Mercedes, Office Assistant
Mercedes is our Administration Assistant and Building Assistant. She has been part of the Magic Memories team for three years. Mercedes enjoys working at Magic Memories and loves spending time with the children. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two wonderful children, and their two dogs. In her spare time, Mercedes loves going to the beach.
Rachael, Afternoon Assistant
Rachael is one of our Afternoon Assistants. She is 20 years old and a current student at the University of Valley Forge. She is studying to be a missionary, but absolutely loves kids! Rachael has three younger sisters and has worked with kids since she was 13. Her favorite colors are red, black and purple, and her favorite animal is a tiger. Rachael loves music and meeting new people!
