Vicki, Substitute Teacher
Vicki is a substitute teacher for Magic Memories. As a child Vicki enjoyed playing school from a very early age. She started babysitting for children in her neighborhood as soon as she was old enough. When it came time for her to go to college, she knew she wanted to become a teacher. Vicki studied Special Education at Penn State University for her undergraduate degree. She began teaching as a Special Education Teacher for grades K-5 immediately after graduating. In addition, she attended Gywnedd Mercy College where she earned her Master’s Degree in Reading. Vicki worked in her position as a Special Education Teacher for 17 years and truly loved it! During those years she had 3 children of her own, Jake-age 14, Claudia-age 12, and Lily-age 8. They attended Magic Memories for 3 years! When her youngest child started kindergarten, Vicki resigned from her job to be closer to home in order to be with her children as much as possible. At this time, she began working for Magic Memories at the Kindergarten Center as an Enrichment Coach. She kept this position for 2 years and greatly enjoyed it! However, she decided that it was in the best interest of my family to start subbing for both Magic Memories and the Phoenixville School District. This has allowed Vicki to have more flexibility and to continue being able to do what she loves, teach children!!
