Mrs. Judy Strock, Rm. 110
Mrs. Strock attended Millersville University and received her B.S Degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Strock has been teaching for many years. This is her 3rd year teaching as an Enrichment Coach. She is married and lives in Spring City with her husband, Andrew and son, Jared. She has two dogs named Ruby and Ollie. Your child will hear many funny stories about them this year!
Ms. Alexa Parrilla, Rm. 110
Ms. Parrilla attended Chestnut Hill College and received her B.S Degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. Ms. Parrilla started last year at the Kindergarten Center, but this is her first official year of teaching at the PAELC. She lives in Gilbertsville and has three siblings. She absolutely loves the beach!
Ms. Angela Lenker, Rm. 111
Ms. Lenker has worked in the field of early childhood education for over 30 years. She is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Gratz College with a Master’s degree in Education. Angela is a PA certified teacher and has been a preschool teacher, substitute teacher, Montessori team teacher, assistant director, and taught kindergarten and first grade. Her hobbies are reading, baking, flea markets, and playing the ukulele. She lives outside of Pottstown but is originally from Shamokin, PA. This is her second year as an Enrichment Coach.
Ms. Shannon Nishimura, Rm. 111
Ms. Nishimura is an enrichment coach in the Cheetah classroom. This is her second year as an enrichment coach. She has a degree in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University. Her brother just got married this summer, and she enjoyed seeing friends and family. Her dad has been in the Army for nineteen years and recently found out that he will be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. She is looking forward to working with Angela Lenker again this year.
Mrs. Jacque Perks, Rm. 112
Mrs. Perks has a Master’s Degree in Early Elementary Education, with a concentration in Special Needs. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Rowan University, and an Associate’s Degree in Dietetics from Camden County College. Jacque worked within the childcare/teaching realm at various times throughout her career, and it is where her true passion lies. Jacque was a KinderCare Director, she managed a student program for a non-profit agency, and she was a substitute teacher. She is married to a wonderful guy, has a son entering first grade at PAELC, and they reside in Kimberton. She loves cooking, traveling, spending fun family time together, and being a “Soccer Mom”! Jacque is in the process of writing a children’s book. She cannot express how fortunate she feels to be a part of your child’s learning experience.
Mrs. Diane Vogt, Rm. 112
Mrs. Vogt will be working with Mrs. Perks in The Blue Panthers classroom! Diane has been with the Magic Memories family for almost four years, since February 2014! She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Lock Haven University, and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education from Holy Family University. She has always worked in the field of Early Childhood in some way or another and educating young students is near and dear to her heart. On a personal level she is originally from Langhorne, (home of Sesame Place!), and she has two grown children and three grandchildren! In April of 2012, Diane married her husband Jim and they have five children and seven grandchildren! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, tubing the Schuylkill River, reading on her sun porch, and visiting farmer’s markets and the Poconos with her husband.
Ms. Alyse Bingham, Rm. 116
Ms. Bingham is beyond excited for her first year as a Lion’s Enrichment Coach! Alyse graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2016, where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education, and Special Education. During my four years of college she played on the Women’s Lacrosse Team, and completed her student teaching in Hershey School District. Just last year she was the Busy Bees Pre-k teacher at the Magic Memories Phoenixville Center! In Alyse’s free time she loves to read, spend time with friends and family, and cheer on all the Philadelphia sports teams!
Mrs. Denise Schmidt, Rm. 116
Mrs. Schmidt is very excited to start a new year at the PAELC. Denise has been an early childhood educator for 20 years and has worked with children ages 3-6 years old. She has a BS in Elementary Education from Millersville University. She became an enrichment coach in January 2015. She loves helping kindergarteners learn, explore and grow. Denise enjoys traveling, gardening and supporting the EAGLES!
Ms. Jennifer Kramer, Rm. 117
Ms. Kramer has her B.A. in Fine Art and an M.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Chestnut Hill College. She lives with her 13-year-old twins in Phoenixville and loves spending time with her family. During her free time, she loves to read, cook, hike and ride her bike along the great trail in and out of the area.
Mrs. Donna Shanley, Rm. 117
Mrs. Shanley graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She loves nature, spending time with family, traveling, and undertaking new adventures and challenges. As far back as she can remember she has enjoyed working with children and watching them learn by experiencing the world around them. She enjoys being part of the Magic Memories Team and loves working with the faculty, staff, students and families at the Phoenixville Area Early Learning Center.
