Ms. Judy Strock, Rm. 101
Ms. Strock has been a teacher for over 20 years, both in public school and in local preschools. She has a B.S. degree from Millersville University and she loves working with this age group! Judy lives in Spring City with her husband and son, Jared. She also has two very high-maintenance dogs, Ruby and Ollie. Your child will probably be hearing a lot of stories about them this year! I enjoy running and walking the dogs in my spare time.
Ms. Angela Lenker, Rm. 102
Ms. Lenker is from Shamokin, Pennsylvania. She has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for 30 years. Angela is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She also attend graduate school at Bloomsburg University where she earned her Instructional II certificate. In 2010, she earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Gratz College in Melrose Park. She has been a Montessori team teacher, a substitute teacher, an assistant director, a kindergarten teacher, a first grade teacher, and a PreK Counts teacher. She attended the Governor’s Institute in 2015. Angela has trained and is certified in Trauma Competent professional.
Ms. Shannon Nishimura, Rm. 102
Ms. Nishimura is an Enrichment Coach in the Cheetahs room. She has a degree in Elementary Education. Shannon has previous experience at other daycares, most recently Magic Memories where she was the toddler teacher. She loves working with children and watching them learn and grow. Shannon is so happy to be at the Kindergarten Center this year. The students are great, and it is exciting to be a part of their learning.
Ms. Juliane Cassey, Rm. 103
Ms. Cassey graduated from Kutztown University in 2007 with a B.S. in Elementary/Special Education. She spends most of her time with her family, as they are most important to her. She lives in West Norriton with her incredible husband and their two crazy dogs, which they absolutely love to pieces! Some of the things Juliane loves are animals (especially dogs), camping, baking, laughing, and teaching! Being the youngest of four sisters, she never knew what it was like to be an older sibling. When she was younger, her family took in a foster brother, and she absolutely loved spending time with him. She knew then that she wanted to be a teacher and work with younger children. Juliane is very fortunate to be where she is today.
Ms. Caroline McCarthy, Rm. 103
Caroline “Carli” graduated from Moravian College in May 2016 with a degree in Sociology and Early Childhood Education. She is originally from Connecticut but recently moved to West Chester to live her older sister. Carli is the second older of five girls. During her spare time she likes to go home to Connecticut to watch her little sisters’ sports games and spend time with family. Carli’s family loves the outdoors, shopping and going on hikes with their two labs.
Ms. Maggie McGowan, Rm. 104
Ms. McGowan is excited to start her 2nd year at the Kindergarten Center as an Enrichment Coach as well as being back teaching with her co-teacher Denise. Maggie started teaching with Magic Memories as a Preschool Teacher in 2014. Maggie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern University in 2012. While at school, Maggie also played softball for Eastern as a shortstop as well as pitcher. In her free time Maggie loves to do Zumba, run, spend time with her family and cheer on the EAGLES!
Ms. Denise Schmidt, Rm. 104
Ms. Schmidt has been an early childhood educator for over 20 years. She received her degree in Elementary Education from Millersville University. Denise has taught children from the ages 3-6. Her favorite place to be is in the classroom and she is especially happy to be partners with Miss McGowan. During her free time she loves being with her family and friends. Mrs. Schmidt loves to travel and explore new places. She can be found on the weekends doing DIY projects and hitting the flea markets. She loves cheering for the E-A-G-L-E-S!!!
Ms. Jennifer Kramer, Rm. 105
Ms. Kramer has her B.A. in Fine Art and an M.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Chestnut Hill College. She lives with her 13 year old twins in Phoenixville and loves spending time with her family. During her free time, she loves to read, cook, hike and ride her bike along the great trail in and out of the area. Ms. Kramer is very excited to be working for Magic Memories and joining the Enrichment staff this year.
Ms. Donna Shanley, Rm. 105
Ms. Shanley graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She loves spending time with family, traveling, and undertaking new adventures and challenges. As far back as she can remember she has enjoyed working with children and watching them learn by experiencing the world around them. She is very excited to have joined the Magic Memories Team and loves working with the students and families at the Phoenixville Kindergarten Center.
