We focus on family first. It is our main priority to be an extension of your family and ensure while your children are in our care, that they feel just like they are at home. Our learning environment is structured around the interests of your children, their developmental levels, their personalities or temperaments and their individual needs to provide important information about the experiences that should be covered, for both a class/group and individually. This understanding of each individual child becomes the backbone of our curriculum and defines the types of activities and experiences that are presented through intentional classroom planning. Child-centered learning is focused on the child's needs, abilities, interests, and learning styles with the teacher as a facilitator of learning. This creates a concept of your children having their own role in the learning process.
Our loving staff makes it a priority to unite with the whole family to achieve these goals. Our degreed and experienced teachers seek information from families, use child observations and other experiences to develop individualized goals for children which include experiences and activities that are challenging, yet achievable. We are a safe, loving, home-like environment as an extension of your family, allowing us to find a strong foundation for your child to achieve their highest level of cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
Magic Memories uses the country's leading scientifically based, comprehensive curriculum for programs serving children from birth to age 5, the Creative Curriculum®. This curriculum helps us plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program that promotes children's social-emotional development and learning in the core areas of literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. It combines the latest research and the freshest ideas into a forward-thinking approach to learning--one that honors creativity and respects the role that teachers play in making learning exciting and relevant for every child in their classrooms. This unique approach is designed to inspire teachers, to help them create a high-quality learning environment and, most of all, to support their important efforts as they open doors to successful learning. Creative Curriculum® aids our program to put together a complete system that promotes positive outcomes for all children, including non-English language learners, children with disabilities, advanced learners, and more.
Since children may be with us for a large proportion of their day, they will consume much of their daily food intake while in our care. This is why promoting children's healthy eating is important to us. Magic Memories provides two healthy snacks and one healthy well-balanced lunch every day.
Our menus were designed with the input of a nutritionist to be sure to reach all of the main food groups and offer a variety of healthy delicious meals. Our cook prepares the meals fresh each day so the children can still feel the comforts of home even during meal times.
